A traditional southern Italian pastry, born on the island of Ischia. Perfect for breakfast paired with a cup of espresso. Cornetto Ischitano is a combination between a croissant and an Italian cornetto.
The laminated dough is a cross between brioche and puff pastry- you'll experience the softness and aroma of a fluffy brioche while biting into the buttery layers of puff dough. Thanks to the long and slow fermentation (naturally leavened sourdough) and the high amount of the 82% European butter, this product will stay fresh longer than the usual croissant. Cornetti are best served slightly warmed.
