Neapolitan babà or rum cake as we know it today was originally a naturally leavened cake from Poland (babka ponczowa), passed through France before arriving in Naples.

Ingredients: Soft wheat flour, eggs, organic sugar, fresh yeast, sea salt. Soaked into homemade limoncello (lemon, alcohol, sugar) and brushed with apricot jam.
