Panettone Storage and Serving

Serving:

For optimal texture, cut your panettone in half vertically with a serrated knife, creating 2 large pieces. Cutting it in half will keep the structure of the whole panettone strong, since it is an incredibly tender product. From there, you may cut a slice to the size of your choice. Enjoy a slice (or more) any time of the day with a spread of your choice and a hot espresso or crisp white wine.

Storing:

Keep your panettone in a dry and cool place (54-65°F), away from direct sunlight. This is especially important if you have purchased a panettone with a glaze; they will be extremely sensitive to heat and light. After slicing, store the remaining inside of the cellophane bag that it was originally wrapped in. This bag is specific for keeping the shelf-life of the panettone long, even after it is cut. If left whole and stored properly, the panettone will stay fresh and moist for about 4 weeks.
